2016-12-1 I was wondering what mods would you recommend or consider for Neverwinter Nights 2 especially for someone's first playthrough? I am all set of NWN 1 since the only mod I find reccomended was the Critical Rebuild but what about 2.

This is a small sub, so first-timers would be more suited than power-mods. It is almost essential that you are experienced with NWN1, NWN2, and NWO, as you will have to enforce spoiler tags.If you want to help out and learn the ropes of moderating, please.Regarding Link Flair:To aid in ease-of-use and save everyone some time, we have link search filters for the community to use.
Remember to add keywords if your query is a specific one. I’ve been craving a good RPG — specifically D&D, and something set in the Forgotten Realms. After much debate, I settled on NWN2. (I can’t do BGII again. I’ve played it to death.)I know my D&D, and I know the Realms, but I have some questions before I go down the rabbit hole:Character limit: How many of my own created PCs can I have in my party in Neverwinter Nights 2? From my Googling, it looks like 4. Is that right?

And if so, can I increase it to 5+ with a mod?Graphic mods: Jester rounded up some here, with emphasis on graphic mods. Would you add anything to the list?Character editor: I’m an old pen-and-paper player, and I like to have total control over my characters, even if it means sometimes bending the rules and taking a feat or spell I’m not technically allowed to have (the 2E books used to encourage players to bend the rules, so long as it wasn’t overpowered and it suited the character and campaign). Is Vordan’s Hero Creator powerful enough to do that? Or should I look at an external editor for total control of my characters?Modules: I like my D&D pretty dark and mature and close to the source material, like LotR or BGII. Can someone recommend modules in that vein? If modules get clownish or juvenile, I lose interest real fast — for example, if someone makes an adventure where I’m supposed to fuck a kobold, I’m gonna turn that off right away (there are some things that even I won't do for 20 gold pieces).Lastly, what does it mean when Neverwinter Vault lists mod requirements, such as “OC” or “XP1”? Does that just mean Original Campaign, and Expansion Pack 1?. As far as character limits go, that varies.
In the OC and MotB, you can use console commands to add more characters to your party than the default limit. Please be careful to take into account how that will affect character movement, as the characters may have issues colliding with each other (and your character) while following you. I do not remember the commands off the top of my head (currently at work); you can find a list of console commands at gamefaqs.com for NWN2 and all expansions.Companion NPCs are used in all 3 campaigns (OC and two expansions).
Other mods vary.In SoZ, you can create your party of 4 characters and have a companion NPC join you from certain characters that you meet (plus one more character if the leader of your party takes a certain feat). You're welcome, and may you enjoy NWN2:).
